Description

..finally!

With this picture i want to create mainly a nature place i thought to paint desert is more simply than other 'nature' places... it was hard to make it deep and realistic...i hope i get it!
at the end i´m happy with the result...

used references from me (hands, legs and feeds)
i hope you people like it!

used photoshop cs2

Nicely composed and painted.
What I am missing is more shadows/contrast.
Cool character. He looks a bit 'short-legged'. :)

Nice painting! ...it feels like I've seen it somewhere before? o_O
I really like the dry brownish landscape, and the clean colors you have used. The man is looking good, but there's some anatomy flaws. You probably allready know. ;) - The feet are very small to be able to lift up such a big caveman.
Anyway, I like it. You did a good job.

Agree about shadows/contrast, this could give some more of deep sensation.
However, nice work!

mefisto: I have no idea. Unless you haven't posted it somewhere else, it must just have been a strange deja vu. :p

Agree with Roadrunner. (He looks blind)

Pretty nice work. I like the brown tones.

Could use a bit more work with contrast.

Legs seem a bit out of proportion to the top half of the body.

+8

Great progress! It really has a feel of desert. And the sky nice painted too.But with this blue sky you could put some blue into the cave shadow - it's just asking to be there. If you give some desaturated blue in the shadows - you'll see the difference
Man proportions're completely off. I'm not sure if you did him like this on purpose, but he looks funny. - mostly because those tiny feet against this massive torso:)
His left hand is too straight - it doesn't seems like he put it on the rock but like he's holding it weird.
Still his pose is very expressive and his face too.:)
